As people live longer, societies must develop age-friendly supportive communities that include a focus on transport and mobility. This Special Issue builds on the work of BOPALiM (Building Opportunities for Participation and Accessibility through lifelong community Mobility), which focuses on community mobility. Facilitating adequate levels of accessibility and mobility for all community members faces diverse social, technological and policy challenges. Ageing, disability, digital divide, driving assessment, health evaluation, sustainability are among the topics covered in this Special Issue. Original submissions presenting new research, theory-linked case studies, evaluation frameworks, policy-focused conceptual articles, reviews synthesising interdisciplinary literature, and comparative studies from across the globe are welcome.

All the submissions deemed suitable to be sent for peer review will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Upon its editorial acceptance, your article will go into production immediately. It will be published in the latest regular issue, while be presented on the specific Special Issue webpage simultaneously. In regular issues, Special Issue articles will be clearly marked and branded.
